subconcious emotional trade executions

Most trading decisions are made by the faster emotional brain.Trading is stressfull mental activity , it arouses emotions and stress responses , Your emotional brain is faster than your rational brain , it calls all the shots in live trading.

Trading is a mental sport in a fully charged emotional environment.

Researchers from the Campus de Excelencia Internacional Moncloa (UCM-UPM) has shown that the amygdala in the human brain is able to detect possible threats in the visual environment at ultra-fast time scales. This means that screen based traders are trading ,based on emotions rather than systems and rules.

When we make trading decisions, we’re not always in charge. We can be too impulsive or too deliberate for our own good; one moment we often let our emotions get the better of us. Then we’ll pull a brilliant decision out of thin air—and wonder how we did it. Though we may have no idea how decision making happens, neuroscientists peering into our brains are beginning to get the picture.

USDJPY Weekly Analysis 15-19 May

Overview USDJPY :

Yen pairs have been squirrely like CHF pairs.....Price will make a choice and then we will know the direction to trade.

Mid term : USDJPY .. I see a LONG opportunity targeting 115.000

But where to enter to trade ?

First of all I must say pullback till 111.680 is possible.

H1 Chart :

USDJPY price is testing the FIBO reatracemrn %50 113.15 , then the 61.8 level 112.93. This level is an important important support.

If the price can break this support , 112.600 and even 112 levels can be seen.

H4 Chart :
USDJPY price is above MA50

There is a bullish RSI divergence in H4 and H1 chasrts.

Although the analysis is very basic i will know more into Sunday evening when market opens.

The overview is neutral now . Breakouts are important.

In any case I will place pending LONG orders 112.80 112.600 and 112.000 SL 110.80

If the price can not break the supports @112.90 I will enter LONG trade targeting 115.00

Good Luck

MT4 - uploading information to draw trendlines

Help! :)

I would like to upload trendlines in MT4 from a raw data file.

Have completed some back-testing in MS Excel, which has given me entry times and entry levels as well as exit times and exit levels for hundreds of trades (all on same instrument). I want to use these two points to draw a trendline (a type of object) in MT4, so that I can review the backtest trades on the chart, rather than in MS Excel.

Rather than manually draw all these trendlines in MT4, is there a way to upload the points into MT4 so that new objects are effectively created via the back door?

Many thanks in advance for any helpful suggestions,
George

Free Forex Audio News Feed

For the newer traders and maybe some of the older there is a totally free Audio FX/markets/economic news feed at

plus a traditional RSS news/FX feed you can customise. Its just as good a Ransquawk but free, I think it may be an in-house Hedge fund feed but its free to retail with instant breaking news indespensible for economic releases and black swan events
